A few, but not most, backflow preventers are designed to permit removal for the winter and re-installation/recertification in the spring. Piping must be appropriately capped and the backflow preventers must be securely stored. Most devices must be drained and left in place through the winter months. The best protection for these devices is a secure enclosure.

LM Nelson & Associates are pleased to offer the
Centorion Pro-Box Enclosure Series for all irrigation system backflow preventers.
In our opinion, installing these competitively-priced enclosures offers an outstanding combination of prudent theft-deterrence and effective maintenance practices.
Lexan® Pro-Box Thermoclear construction
Enclosures are made of a lightweight material and are durable as well attractive. Lexan is so strong that a thicker application is used to protect to protect bank tellers from robbers. All materials used in the enclosure will not be affected by moisture, temperature, UV or yellowing.
Panels are opaque to shield devices from view, and they are designed to be aesthically pleasing; blending nicely into surrounding landscape.
Insulation without heating!
Panels are made with a patented honeycomb design which seals in heat from sunlight; the enclosure base is a thermally-reflective pad which will protect the backflow preventer from late fall and early spring freezes.
A unique locking mechanism is designed to frustrate thieves armed with bolt cutters.
The lightweight Lexan design means faster, cheaper shipping; simpler, less costly installation (a full concrete pad is not required, and one installer can complete the job in two trips).
