The items in this category are complete Double Check Detector backflow assemblies -- ready for installation -- ranging in size from 1/2" to 10" from Ames, Apollo/Conbraco, Febco, Flomatic, Watts, or Wilkins.
Doublecheck Detector assemblies are designed to provide protection from both back-pressure and back-siphonage, but are not approved for installation in high-hazard environments. Typically they are required by water authorities concerned about water flow and usage in fireline applications. Each of the two backflow devices in a Detector assembly must be maintained and tested as if they were separately installed.
Devices are typically configured with OSY or butterfly indicator valves in recognition of their predominate use in fire line applications.
